The Alternative Board Northwest Arkansas
Advisory Services — specific outcomes, done with you.
Beyond the peer board and coaching programs, these are self-contained engagements for owners who want one specific result — either an analysis with a roadmap attached, or a live session you and your team work through in a room. You bring the goal; you get back real work you can act on.
See the servicesLed personally by Diana Rogers. Open to any business owner — you don't have to be a TAB member.
Reads & Roadmaps
Done-with-you analyses.
You share the inputs; you get back a clear read and a roadmap — and we walk through it together in a debrief, so you leave knowing what to do first. Not a template, and not a dashboard you're left to interpret alone.
Ready When You Are: Exit Readiness Assessment
You don’t always get to choose when you exit. A health scare, a relocation, a partner who wants out, or an offer you never saw coming — every one of them goes better if the business is already in shape. And the same work that makes a business ready to sell makes it a far better business to own in the meantime.
This is a clear-eyed read on how ready yours is. It scores the drivers buyers actually price and lenders actually ask about — how much the business depends on you, the strength and tenure of your team, how much of your revenue recurs, how much sits with a few big customers, how well the work is documented — benchmarked against your industry.
You share the inputs. You get a scored readiness picture, a plain-English read on where you stand, and a roadmap that ranks the moves most likely to raise what the business is worth — walked through together in a debrief, so you know what to do first.
This is a readiness assessment, not a certified valuation. If you need a formal number for a lender, the IRS, a court, or a partner buyout, I’ll say so and point you to a credentialed valuator.
Best for: owners thinking about selling in the next few years — or who simply want the option, and a business that’s better to own either way.
Book a call →Found and Chosen: Digital Presence Audit
Can customers — and now AI search — find you? And once they do, do they choose you over the other option? This is a strengths-and-gaps read on both.
It covers your SEO and AI readiness (can ChatGPT and Google's AI surface your business?), your website's experience and conversion, accessibility, your Google Business Profile and social — and how you stack up against a named local competitor.
You get a strategic guide — what to strengthen, in what order — walked through together in a debrief. Not a 40-tab spreadsheet you're left to decode.
Best for: owners who are online but blending in — and want to be the business customers (and AI) actually surface and choose, instead of a competitor who isn't better, just easier to find.
Book a call →How You're Wired: DISC & Driving Forces Assessment
A read on what makes you and your people tick — leadership and communication style, and what truly motivates each person.
Use it to understand a key leader, so you can communicate the way they'll actually hear it, motivate them the way they're wired to respond — not the way you are — and lead them through conflict or a high-pressure stretch with far less friction. It also pressure-tests a candidate for role fit before you hire, decodes why two people keep clashing, and can show you a way to network that feels natural to you — quieter, less-direct people have comfortable, genuinely effective ways to build relationships too.
You get the assessment, a plain-English summary, and specific recommendations, walked through together. Want it for the whole team? That's The Owner's Manual workshop below.
Best for: owners developing a leader, making a hire, or working through a relationship that keeps grinding — or anyone who wants to lead, motivate, and connect in a way that fits who they are.

Live, facilitated sessions — for you or your team.
Practical skills you practice in the room and use the next day. Built and led personally, not handed off to a slide deck.
Grown, Not Chased: Cultivating Referral Partnerships
Most owners know referrals are their best leads — and still leave them to chance. This session grows them on purpose, through the professionals who spend every day with business owners — bankers, CPAs, attorneys, insurance advisors — and can introduce you the moment an owner needs help.
You'll open partner conversations that feel natural, never like an interview, give first so partners want to refer you, and co-host educational events that fill both pipelines.
You leave with a short-list, conversation starters, and a gardener's rule: prune what isn't producing.
Best for: owners and teams who want more of their best-fit clients coming from trusted introductions.
Book a call →Sell the Way They Buy
Some buyers want the bottom line in two sentences. Some want to swap stories before they'll talk business. Some won't move without proof and references — and some just need to know they can trust you before they'll ever switch.
In this hands-on workshop you'll learn to spot which buyer is sitting across from you using real cues — how fast they talk, the words they choose, their body language, even what's on their office wall — then match your pitch, your proof, and your close to fit.
You'll leave knowing your own selling style, and how to flex it when the buyer's style isn't yours. Toolkit: the DISC & Driving Forces assessment — no familiarity needed.
Best for: owners and salespeople who are good in the room but want to be deliberate instead of lucky.
Book a call →Think Like an Owner: Questions No One Else Asks
Everyone who calls on business owners is trained to ask about their own lane — financing from the lender, coverage from the broker, taxes from the CPA. To the owner, every conversation sounds the same.
This workshop teaches you the rest of the business: the five areas every company runs on, real questions for each, and the habit of asking "why" until the actual problem surfaces.
You stop sounding like a vendor. Owners remember the person who asked what no one else did.
Best for: B2B sellers and business developers in relationship-driven fields — commercial bankers and lenders, financial advisors, wealth managers, insurance and benefits brokers, CPAs, attorneys, and agency account executives — who want prospects to feel deeply understood and to stand out from everyone else calling on them.
Book a call →The Owner's Manual: How Your Team Is Wired
People don't come with instructions — so teams guess, and guessing becomes friction.
In this facilitated session your whole team goes through DISC & Driving Forces together: how each person communicates and decides, what actually motivates them, and where their role fits natural strength versus stretch. Then you put it to work — flexing to one another, motivating people the way they're built, working through disagreement instead of letting it simmer.
Most teams take a personality quiz and forget it. Yours leaves with its owner's manual.
Best for: leadership teams and close-knit groups who want less friction and faster decisions.
Book a call →How it works
Simple to start.
Pick a time
Choose a slot that works and tell me which service caught your eye. Takes a minute, and that's it to start.
We scope it
On the call we confirm it's the right fit and tailor it to you. If it's not the right move, I'll say so and point you somewhere useful.
You get the work
For a Read & Roadmap, you share the inputs, I build your tailored analysis and roadmap, and we walk through it together in a debrief so you leave knowing what to do first. For a workshop, we schedule it and run it.
Good to know
Questions owners ask.
Do I have to be a TAB member? +
No. Advisory services are open to any business owner — members and non-members alike. They stand on their own, separate from the peer board and coaching programs.
How does pricing work? +
Each engagement is scoped to what you actually need, so pricing depends on the service and the size of your business. You'll get a clear quote before anything begins — no surprises.
What's the difference between a read and a workshop? +
Reads & Roadmaps are done-with-you analyses — you share the inputs, and you get back a clear read on your business (or your people) and a roadmap that we walk through together in a debrief. Workshops are live, facilitated sessions you or your team take part in. Some topics are available both ways.
Can I get an assessment as a team workshop instead? +
Often, yes. The DISC & Driving Forces assessment, for example, comes as an individual read or as a team workshop. Tell us how you'd like to use it and we'll point you to the right format.
How do I get started? +
Pick a time that works and tell me which service you're interested in. We'll confirm the fit on the call, tailor it to you, and go from there.
Not sure which one fits? Let's talk it through.
Book a time and tell me what you're trying to accomplish. I'll point you to the right service — or tell you honestly if it's not the right time.
